Open source

Roadster Mini is an independent open-source project for a compact two-seat Roadster with an open-source autonomous driving stack. The goal is to publish the car and its autonomy stack together, so the whole system can be read, rebuilt and changed.

What we intend to publish

Status

As of October 2026 this is an early concept. The repository and licence are to be announced, nothing is on sale, no performance figures are published, and there is no waitlist. This page will link to the repository when it exists.

Why thrusters are part of the software story

Steering, throttle and brake are only some of the ways to move a car. A cold-gas thruster is another actuator, and every extra actuator gives the planner more options to choose from. That is what we mean by higher decision degrees of freedom. It is a concept under development and is not approved for public road use.
